Project summary
Nowadays the refugee an integration problem is very sensitive all around Europe. In 2015 around 1 million refugees arrived in Europe by sea (source: UNHCR) and the number is increasing month by month. This crisis had effect not just economically and politically speaking, but also it created negative attitudes against refugees from different countries. The main reasons for negative attitude are lack of knowledge about refugee’s problems, the stereotypes towards Muslims and lack of understanding of cultural diversity and European values, in every partner country. This problem had already negative effect and it can develop towards: social conflicts, economic problems, racism, segregation and xenophobia.

The project idea and main structure were developed during a Partnership Building Activity from the project IQ-involvement to Quality, developed in Romania in November 2015. During the IQ project we had the opportunity to discuss about project’s topic, we talked about current situation in our countries so we found out that each country has the refugee prob
The “We have rights, now let’ be human” project is a project with two mobilities, Training Course and Youth Exchange. The TC will be hold by Youth Center from Ramnicu Sarat, Romania between 07-15.08.2016 and will have as target group youth workers and group leaders over 18 years. For this mobility we will have 24 participants (3 per country) and two trainers from Romania and 3 facilitators from Romania, Georgia and Malta.lem.
The YE will take place in Rustavi, Georgia between 23-31.07.2017 and will have as target group youngsters with ages between 17-24 years. Also we will have 5 participants with fewer opportunities. For this mobility we will have 32 participants + 8 leaders (one per country who participated in the TC).
Our aim is to increase the level of awareness and knowledge about refugee’s rights and human rights, to change the attitude towards refugees, decrease the number of stereotypes, give a better understanding of cultural diversity, among 56 participants from 8 countries during 14 days within 2 mobility.
In order to reach our aim, we established the following objectives:

1. Increasing the level of awareness about the refugee crisis for 56 participants coming from 8 countries, within the 2 mobility: training course and youth exchange in a period of 14 days
2. Developing professional competences in the field of theatre as a tool for integration, for 24 young people coming from 8 countries, during 7 days of training course in Rm. Sarat, Romania
3. Raising the visibility of theatre as non-formal tool for dialogue and tolerance, for the 8 local communities, who will benefit from the results of the training course, shared by the youth workers through local activities.
4. Developing tolerant attitudes towards interculturality for 32 young people during the 7 days of youth exchange in Rustavi, Georgia
5. Raising the level of knowledge and understanding about the human rights and refugee’s rights for 32 young people during the 7 days of youth exchange in Rustavi, Georgia
6. Facilitating a context for intercultural dialogue and communication for 56 participants coming from 8 countries, in order to foster the solidarity, tolerance and mutual understanding between partners.
